We Are HyperFang.
HyperFang, or team 11503, is a devoted eleven person robotics team within Vandergrift High School's ViperBots program. Each year, Our team participates In the FIRST Tech Challenge, or FTC.
Each year, we are given materials, a budget, and a six-week timeframe to make a fully functional, 18inx18in maximum robot that will compete against other team's robots in a complex game. In each game, there is an automated software section and human player controlled section.
REPRESENTING:
Vandegrift ViperBots
ViperBots is a competitive robotics program aligned with the FIRST organization based at Vandegrift High school in Austin, Texas. It was co-founded by Rad Allen in 2010 to provide a creative outlet for engineers and mathematicians, as well as build up students' collaboration and communication skills.
F.I.R.S.T.
FIRST is a highly competitive and collaborative robotics organization made For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology. They host the yearly First Tech Challenge, along with many others. FIRST is leading students both young and younger headfirst into the STEAM industry, all while promoting gracious professionalism.

OUR GOALS
Hardware
Our Hardware team aspires to create an innovative and robust yet simple design, and to create a solution that not only works but also astounds the judges and onlookers alike. We hope to create a robot that can effectively combine form and function, and most importantly, learn from our mistakes and our accomplishments to become a stronger team.
Software
The software team aims to not only come up with programming solutions that are reliable and efficient, but also to become more proficient by learning from others. This way, everybody will be able to contribute equally on the team to a unique and effective program, and be able to collaborate in a way that would be seen in large IT companies.
Marketing
The marketing team this year strives to interact with numerous STEAM professionals and learn how to improve our team from professionals in the industry. Additionally, marketing would love to help inspire those around us to further pursue robotics and the fulfilling challenge it entails. We can't wait to visit and mentor some FLL teams!
Our Mission
Our team’s mission is to explore the opportunities available to us in STEAM through participation in the FIRST Tech Challenge and share these opportunities with our local and global communities.

OUR STORY
HyperFang is 7th addition to the Vandegrift High ViperBots Organization. For 8 years, our team has competed in the FIRST Tech Challenge. We strive to provide an example of gracious professionalism, collaboration at its best, and a unique, robust robot.
HyperFang has a history of using extensive CAD techniques to develop detailed outlines of our robot designs before we begin building at all. The majority of our robot this year will be constructed out of 3D printed parts and CNC parts. We can’t wait to see how it will perform in the field and cannot wait for this season!
